Professor Dale Bailey (PhD)
Role: Executive, Trial Design and Data Manager
Experience: Principal physicist in the Department of Nuclear
Medicine at Royal North Shore Hospital and Clinical Professor
in the Faculty of Medicine, University of Sydney.
Dale was instrumental in initiating 3D (SPECT) studies of the deposition
of radioaerosols in the airways. He has acted as a consultant to groups
in the UK performing radiolabelled drug deposition studies. His strengths
are in quantitative imaging in SPECT and PET, developing novel analytical
approaches and software development, and 3D image processing.
Professor Hak-Kim Chan (PhD)
Role: Executive and Pharmaceutical Manager
Experience: Associate Professor and head of the
Advanced Drug Delivery Group, Faculty of Pharmacy at the University of
Sydney.
Kim has comprehensive expertise in consulting for inhalation drug delivery
and imaging, through Principal Investigator positions for 3M and Aradigm
in the USA, and for pharmaceutical giants Novartis, AMRAD and Aventis.
He specialises in formulation and radiolabelling of inhaled compounds,
and optimising targeted drug delivery to the
airways.
Clinical Associate
Professor Paul Roach (MB BS FRACP)
Role: Executive and Clinical Manager
Experience: Head of the Department of Nuclear Medicine at
Royal North Shore Hospital and Clinical Associate Professor in the
Faculty of Medicine, University of Sydney.
Paul has participated in numerous clinical trials using radionuclides, and has a long standing interest in lung imaging in the public and private medical sectors. He is the recipient of numerous competitive national grants. He contributes medical expertise to the clinical trial, especially in physical examinations, monitoring, and image and data interpretation.
